
Christina Murphy
Director of Communications
Christina Murphy, MM, has 20 years of experience directing and implementing mission-based communications, marketing, public education, and policy strategies on social issues at the national, regional, state, and local levels. She oversees the development and execution of external and internal communications strategies at C4 Innovations.
Christina has extensive experience with message development; planning, implementing, and disseminating public awareness activities; media relations; and event planning. She develops engaging content for websites, social media, and e-newsletters including videos, podcast episodes, and blog posts. She writes, edits, and proofreads media advisories, press releases, fact sheets, information packets, reports, brochures, and other publications. She also has experience with government relations, partnership and coalition building, and community organizing and outreach.
Prior to joining C4 Innovations, Christina directed communications and policy initiatives at the National Center on Family Homelessness and led a Campaign to End Child Homelessness—working to increase awareness, inform national policy, and develop plans to end child homelessness with partners and coalitions in several states. She has also managed regional anti-hunger programs, developed community-based food programs and initiatives, and informed policies to increase participation in the federal nutrition programs. She has worked as a Deputy Press Secretary in the MA Senate, on the communications team of a gubernatorial campaign, and as a legislative aide in the US Senate.
Christina has a Master of Management with a focus in Child, Youth, and Family Policy from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a BA in Child Development and Sociology from Tufts University.
