
Daisy Hernandez
Trainer
Daisy M. Hernandez, MSW, Trainer, native of Puerto Rico, has dedicated her clinical social work career to community mental and behavioral health organizations within underserved communities. Her professional experience spans the entire spectrum of substance use disorder (prevention through recovery) from peer roles like recovery coach and recovery coach supervisor to program management. Daisy has also served as a clinician for medication-assisted treatment in an opioid use disorder treatment program.
She provides training and technical assistance for mental health and substance use providers for the Praxis: Training for MA Addiction Professionals initiative on topics including HIV/AIDS care integration, harm reduction, medication-assisted treatment, opioid overdose prevention, and Viral Hepatitis care integration. She has been a recovery coach academy trainer for bilingual cohorts. Daisy has a Master of Social Work from Westfield State University and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a focus on management.
