Elizabeth Black
Trainer
Elizabeth Black, LADC, has spent her career working with and on behalf of people with mental health and substance use disorders. She holds a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Elizabeth serves as subject matter expert, trainer, and technical assistance provider for substance use, mental health, and recovery initiatives. Her areas of interest and expertise include harm reduction, medication for opioid use disorder, co-occurring disorders, and health and wellness in recovery.
Prior to her current role at C4 innovations, Elizabeth worked for more than a decade at the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. During her time there, she worked in central administration overseeing statewide services including client advocacy, criminal justice, rural behavioral health, and peer work. In addition, she oversaw the implementation of health and wellness interventions into behavioral health services statewide. In that role, her team received a governor’s commendation for their work which resulted in better health outcomes in Oklahoma’s most vulnerable communities.
