Supporting People with Medication-Assisted Treatment in Recovery Residences

A growing number of individuals are relying on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as a pathway to recovery. Yet, finding a recovery residence that welcomes and supports people using MAT is challenging. Early research indicates it isn’t enough for a recovery home to modify eligibility criteria to allow for MAT. Recovery residences must adapt programs, policies, and procedures and facilitate cultural change.
