Christina Murphy, MM

Director of Communications

Christina Murphy (she/her), MM, oversees the development and execution of external and internal communications strategies at C4 Innovations. Her professional experiences have been focused on directing and implementing mission-based communications, public education, marketing, and policy strategies on human service issues at the national, regional, state, and local levels.

Christina has experience disseminating public awareness activities, planning events, and conducting media relations. She develops engaging content for websites, social media, and e-newsletters including videos, podcast episodes, and blog posts. She writes, edits, and proofreads fact sheets, information packets, reports, brochures, media advisories, press releases, and other publications. She also has experience with government relations, partnership and coalition building, and community organizing and outreach. She is an active volunteer in her local community and school district.

Prior to joining C4 Innovations, Christina directed communications and policy initiatives at the National Center on Family Homelessness and led a Campaign to End Child Homelessness—working to increase awareness, inform national policy, and develop plans to end child homelessness with partners and coalitions in several states. She has authored publications about children and families experiencing homelessness. She has also developed community-based food programs and initiatives, managed regional anti-hunger programs, and informed policies to increase participation in the federal nutrition programs at Project Bread-The Walk for Hunger in Massachusetts. She worked as a Deputy Press Secretary in the Massachusetts Senate, on the communications team of a gubernatorial campaign, and as a legislative aide in the U.S. Senate.

Christina has a Master of Management with a focus in Child, Youth, and Family Policy from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Child Development from Tufts University.
