Recovery Friendly Workplaces
In 2020, 40.3 million people aged 12 and older experienced a substance use disorder in the past year according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health. Substance use disorder is a treatable, chronic illness. Increasing numbers of people are working while experiencing addiction and finding recovery.
A recovery-friendly workplace is a place where people in recovery and those impacted by substance use disorders can thrive. A recovery-friendly workplace focuses on employee health, wellness, and safety and demonstrates commitment to reducing stigma often associated with addiction. Being a recovery-friendly workplace means supporting all types of recovery.
At C4, we know that recovery is possible for everyone regardless of experiences and illnesses. Our staff partner with workplaces looking to become recovery-friendly. We incorporate racially equitable, person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches.
