Human Rights Officer Training
This training provides a comprehensive overview for Human Rights Officers (HRO) and how they can promote and protect human rights in diverse contexts. Participants will explore the history and principles of international human rights law, client rights guaranteed by Rhode Island, and the role of the HRO in behavioral health services. Through interactive exercises and practical guidance, the training emphasizes how to identify rights violations and employ an HRO as a source of advocacy, support, and protection for clients.

Trainer:
Anna Erdei, MBA, MA, LMHC, joined Bay State Community Services (BSCS) in August 2020 and is responsible for overseeing the Outpatient Clinic, the Behavioral Health Community Partner program and criminal justice and correctional programs. In her current role as Senior Vice President of Outpatient Services, Anna provides supervision and support to all programs in the Outpatient Clinic, including as the Director of the Heart-to Heart Program, Behavioral Health Community Partners, and Recovery Coaching Services. Anna obtained her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare management from Northeastern University. She received her LMHC licensure in 2007.
